FIG. 1.2 | UNDERVALUED GOODS

23 - 27 June 2021

Illustration & Print Pop-Up

FIG. is the natural continuation of the series of pop-up illustration markets held by KO-OP. This time the format is growing into a two-week festival programme, dedicated to the community of artists and their followers.

The first event within FIG. is called UNDERVALUED GOODS: POP-UP FOR ILLUSTRATION AND PRINTS and will be held in the form of a group exhibition in the space of KO-OP between 23 and 27 June.

The group exhibition of the 10 selected artists will illustrate their personal view towards/through the window – presented here as a portal to the outer and the inner world.

The artworks will be available for purchase and will be presented in the gallery through individually separated spaces, curated by the artists themselves to illustrate their world.

Artists:

Alina Papazova Billy Mateeva Boris Pramatarov Denislav Golemanov Georgi Vassilev Mitch Brezounek Teodor Genov Viktoriya Staykova Zhana Mitkova

The proper start of the two-week festival programme will be given on June 23 from 6 PM by the indie-punk-rock-alternative band KAKE?, founded by Martian Tabakov (BG), Andrew Anderson (UK) and Martin Penev (BG).

As part of the parallel programme of the festival, during the ILLUSTRATION POP-UP, KO-OP will be hosting a series of talks on various topics related to graphic art.
